Darren Bent Explains Why He Doesn’t Want Paris Saint-Germain Superstar Neymar Come to switch poles with Gabriel Martinelli Arsenal.
Martinelli has impressed for Arsenal this season, scoring 11 goals in 25 Premier League games.
That record, though, doesn’t compare with Neymar’s. Who scored 20 goals and provided 14 assists in 35 appearances across all competitions.
However, Bent insists he would not trade Martinelli for Neymar based on his current form.
“Right now I would prefer Martinelli because Neymar is out for a long time this season. But even if he didn’t have to take a long break. I like our team now. So I’d rather be Martinelli,” Bent.
“When you look at the games he (Neymar) played, he played 20, 17, 15, 18, 22 and 20 games and was always injured. I know he’s world class. And I’d rather have him as a replacement, he can’t take away the starting XI from anyone.”
“I am not criticizing his abilities. To be honest he was phenomenal. His abilities are amazing. something he can do is very wow But he came with a small burden.”
“Look at what the previous PSG managers said about working with him. He made it unbelievably difficult.
